MyPillow proprietor and election conspiracist Mike Lindell made a big production this week out of shaving his trademark mustache to “ go undercover ” at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. But so far, the sacrifice of his upper lip fuzz has mostly generated headlines for his spat with a 12-year-old kid — along with a widespread consensus that the child absolutely schooled him.

Lindell, who is no fan of this website , has been spotted at the United Center wandering around in a fedora to “ investigate ” gender-neutral bathrooms and peddle his baseless election conspiracy theories . On Wednesday, the pillowmonger got into a verbal altercation with Knowa De Brasco , a 12-year-old activist and content creator who was there supporting Vice President Kamala Harris .

Multiple video clips of their interaction were posted on social media. Lindell can be seen insisting that the 2020 election was stolen in Georgia because there were hundreds of thousands of votes that weren’t counted, a claim that is not supported by any evidence anywhere in the actual real world. He also offered a convoluted story about a “friend” of his he claimed ran for office in Georgia but refused to reveal her last name or otherwise identify her.

De Brasco challenged Lindell — “yeah, no proof!” — and asked for his sources. “But where’s the proof? You want me to take your word for it, right?”

Lindell replied, “257,000 votes — this happened last week, a judge ruled in Georgia — that are missing from the 2020 election.”

“So your source is, ‘Trust me, bro’?” retorted De Brasco. “That’s your source? You haven’t provided any source.”

“No,” Lindell replied. “The source is in your papers in Georgia. You need to read your news.”

“You haven’t provided me with any last name — you’re full of crap, sir,” said De Brasco as he turned to walk away.

De Brasco seemed unfazed by the interaction with Lindell, posting a video of their exchange with the caption, “Mike Lindell is an idiot as expected,” along with a clown emoji and telling a reporter who interviewed him right afterward, “I’m ok, he provided no facts, no sources. He refused to give me the last name — he said for privacy — but elected officials provide their last names if they want the votes, so I’m confused as to why his source was ‘trust me, bro.'”

“Mike Lindell just got rolled by a 12-year-old,” commented the reporter.

Democratic National Committee chairman Jaime Harrison reacted to the “disgusting” video of Lindell “yelling at @KnowaWasTaken – a child” in a tweet posted Wednesday evening.

“Lindell, Knowa is my personal guest,” wrote Harrison. “Knowa is 12 years old. He is our future and I invited HIM to attend our convention but YOU sir were not invited and frankly not wanted.” He warned Lindell to not “EVER come into this building filled with hope and joy and bring your vitriolic bitterness and bile! And the next time you feel compelled to yell at another young Black kid… come find me!”

The Daily Beast attempted to fact-check Lindell’s comment about “257,000 votes” and found nothing in any Georgia paper remotely close to his claims, and Lindell himself was once again unable to provide reliable evidence:

The closest news headline regarding “missing” votes in Georgia from the last presidential election is an Associated Press fact check from last December which debunks a claim that more than 20,000 votes that were tallied “do not exist.”

After publication of this story, Lindell responded to a request for clarification from the Daily Beast by linking to a September 2022 WordPress page for a purported “election integrity” group in Georgia showing a list of alleged findings regarding the 2020 election—unaccompanied by citations or links to any sources, like reputable newspapers.

In February, a judge ordered Lindell to pay $5 million to a man who took the pillow guy up on his challenge to debunk his claims of election fraud. In October 2023, the attorneys representing Lindell and MyPillow filed a motion to withdraw from the legal defense in defamation lawsuits filed by Dominion and SmartMatic because there were months of unpaid legal bills totaling “millions of dollars.”
