Kamala Harris Enters Stage to WILD Applause Before Delivering Acceptance Speech

Vice President Kamala Harris entered the United Center in Chicago Thursday night to officially accept her party’s nomination for President just weeks after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

Harris was met with wild cheers and thanked a packed house for several minutes – at times struggling to get a word in from the noise from inside the packed arena.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” she said before acknowledging her husband Doug Emhoff, who she wished a happy wedding anniversary.

“I love you so very much, Dougie,” she said to applause.

Harris also thanked Biden for supporting her bid for the White House.

“When I think about the path that we have traveled together, Joe, I am filled with gratitude,” she said.

Harris accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for president on the fourth and final night of the Democratic National Convention weeks after the party quickly coalesced around her candidacy when Biden announced he would be exiting the race.

Harris and her running mate Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will face former President Donald Trump and his running mate Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) on Nov. 5.

The vice president is the first woman of color in the country’s history to represent a major party ticket in a presidential race.
