Vice President Kamala Harris Responds to Peter Doocy Asking About a Fox News Interview

Vice President Kamala Harris and Fox News reporter Peter Doocy shared a convivial exchange in the bowels of the United Center early Friday morning following her Thursday night DNC speech.

Doocy covered the White House during the Biden administration, and upon seeing the Fox News correspondent, VP Harris welcomed him warmly, saying, “Hi Peter, How are you?” After Doocy congratulated her, he asked, “Are you ready for your Fox Interview?” to which Harris replied, “I’m working toward it!” in a fun-spirited manner.

Peter Doocy: Madame Vice President —

Vice President Harris: Hi Peter. How are you?

Doocy: Congratulations.

Harris: Thank you. Good to see you.

Doocy: Are you ready for your Fox interview?

Harris: I’m working toward it

Since she effectively took over the Democratic nomination just over a month ago, Harris has received criticism for avoiding any tough questions from an interviewer or press conference. In that time, dozens of cable news segments and political pundits have called on her to sit for a tough interview, but her polling numbers have risen rather dramatically regardless.
