Fox’s Maria Bartiromo Asks James Comer If China Has Been ‘Grooming Tim Walz’

Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo questioned if China has been “grooming” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz during a recent interview with Rep. James Comer (R-KY).

Recently, Republicans and allies of former President Donald Trump have gone after Kamala Harris’s vice presidential nominee because he has spent time in China as a teacher for a year. Walz was also married and honeymooned in China.

Comer, who is leading the House Oversight Committee effort to impeach President Joe Biden ,  has suggested that the FBI has information on Walz regarding his connections to China, adding that it is a “national security risk.”

BARTIROMO: So you say that the FBI investigates things like this? What do you mean by that? Has the FBI investigated Tim Walz’s connections to China? And has China been grooming Tim Walt?

COMER: Well, we’re trying to find out exactly what the FBI has on Tim Walz with respect to China. Everyone in business knows that China steals our intellectual property. They steal our patents, they manipulate their currency. They do anything they can to have a competitive advantage in business. Those of us in government know that China has done everything they can to disrupt and corrupt our U.S. government — the way we operate. We know that they have tried to groom people in the military. We know that they’ve created police spy stations in the major cities and the blue cities all around the United States. We know a lot of this activity is based out of Minnesota. We know that Tim Walz has made several trips during his life to China. We know he spent a year there. We know he went on his honeymoon there. And unlike the relationship that we discovered during our investigation of the Bidens, where China was paying Joe Biden’s family, with Walz, it doesn’t appear to be any type of financial payments being transacted. We fear, Maria, that it’s an infatuation that Tim Walz has with China with their with their communist system — with the way they’ve operated over the past 30 years. So that should be a concern to every American. That’s a national security risk. We have a lot of questions. I think the American people deserve answers.
