Ex-GOP Consultant Warns Trump Campaign Is ‘Governance Nightmare’ Funneling Donor Money Into ‘Black Hole’

Prominent former consultant to top ranking Republicans Juleanna Glover blasted former President Donald Trump’s campaign operations, labeling them a “governance nightmare”

Writing in an opinion piece published Monday by The New York Times, Glover, now CEO of corporate consultancy Ridgely Walsh, claims that the billions raised by Trump’s campaigns in 2020 and 2024 have vanished into a “legal and financial black hole” reportedly controlled by the Trump family and close associates.

Glover suggested that donors, and perhaps even Trump himself, are in the dark about how their contributions are being spent. She wrote: “Anyone who has spent time reviewing Donald Trump’s campaign spending reports would quickly conclude they’re a governance nightmare. There is so little disclosure about what happened to the billions raised in 2020 and 2024 that donors (and maybe even the former president himself) can’t possibly know how it was spent.

She added: Much of the money donated to the Trump campaign went into a legal and financial black hole reportedly controlled by Trump family members and close associates.”

“Donors should demand more information about how their money is spent,” Glover continued. “That would most likely offend the Trump family and confidants running the campaign. And the whole point of donating to Mr. Trump is to get on his good side.”

According to Glover, who worked for former President George W. Bush and his Vice President Dick Cheney, said a significant portion of the campaign funds were funneled through private companies with opaque operations.

In 2020, nearly $516 million of Trump’s campaign funds were directed to American Made Media Consultants, a Delaware-based entity that concealed the ultimate recipients of the money, which Glover argued raised concerns about transparency and accountability.
