CNN’s Scott Jennings Says ‘Joe Rogan Audience’ Could Boost Trump to Victory: ‘Sneer at Them at Your Own Peril’

CNN senior political commentator Scott Jennings argued that it’s the “ Joe Rogan audience” that could boost former President Donald Trump to victory in November.

On Monday’s NewsNight on CNN with Abby Phillip , Jennings told a panel he’s “not sure how much endorsements matter” in response to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard coming out with endorsements of Trump, but argued they do have audiences that overlap with the “type of voter” Trump needs to change the “composition” of the election.

“His ticket to victory are these low propensity male, working-class male voters — the Joe Rogan audience. And, you know, sneer at them at your own peril because if they get excited about RFK or if they think it’s, you know, he says, ‘Trump’s okay, we’re gonna turn out and vote,’ that’s how Trump changes the composition of the electorate through that kind of voter,” Jennings said.

The analyst told his fellow panelists “you can make fun of them,” but Trump’s campaign is designed to appeal to that male audience.

“Well. they have built a campaign of people who deeply, deeply, deeply distrust institutions, government, and sort of the Washington elites. That is the ethos of this campaign,” he said.

Rogan previously predicted Vice President Kamala Harris is going to win the election. He also argued earlier this month — before Kennedy endorsed Trump — that Kennedy was the only candidate “who makes sense” to him in the place. He would later clarify this was not an actual endorsement following Trump fantasizing about the fight commentator getting booed at a UFC event over his comments about him.
