Biden Appointee Investigated for Racial Abuse Hoax in Which He Allegedly Sent Slurs to Himself

A Texas Democrat and former Biden administration appointee is currently being investigated for impersonating a judge and a real estate agent as part of an alleged racial abuse hoax where he allegedly sent slurs to himself on social media.

Taral Patel was arrested in June after he was accused of sending himself fake racist messages while impersonating supporters of his local Republican rival, Fort Bend Precinct 3 Commissioner Andy Meyers .

On Wednesday, local news reported that Patel was under investigation for also allegedly impersonating a judge and a realtor.

Patel – who boasts on his website that he was appointed by President Joe Biden “to serve in the Office of White House Liaison to work on matters related to housing, urban development, and disaster recovery” – allegedly used several fake accounts to send racist messages himself, before pinning the blame on his opponent’s supporters.

In a Facebook post, Patel allegedly shared the fake messages, along with the caption, “As your Democratic candidate for County Commissioner, I am always open to criticism of my policy positions and stances on issues. However, when my Republican opponents supporters’ [sic] decide to hurl racist, anti-immigrant, Hinduphobic, or otherwise disgusting insults at my family, faith community, colleagues, and me – that crosses a line.”

According to ABC13, Patel also sent the fake messages out in a press release in an attempt to generate sympathy and support.

Patel was allegedly discovered after Meyers requested that the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office launch an investigation into the supposed harassment against his opponent.

Following a subpoena to Facebook and Google, it was subsequently discovered that one of the accounts was linked to Patel.

Despite the ongoing investigation and his June arrest, Patel has not yet dropped out of the race and continues to challenge Meyers in the election for Precinct 3 commissioner.
