‘Well It’s Working!’ Fox’s Steve Doocy Interrupts Co-Host Complaint About ‘Media Re-Brand’ Of Kamala Harris

Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy punctuated his colleague’s complaints about the “media rebrand” of Vice President Kamala Harris by observing “Well, it’s working!”

VP Harris has surged in polls and other metrics since taking over President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, including in a series of Fox News state polls published Thursday that show gains in Sun Belt states.

On Thursday morning’s edition of Fox & Friends , Doocy went over the new polls, and chalked them up to people being glad Biden dropped out. But Lawrence Jones claimed the success is due to the “manufacture” and “rebranding” of a media that once “made fun of her”:

STEVE DOOCY: Let’s talk a little bit about this brand new Fox News polls came out last night looking at the Sunbelt swing states. And take a look at this.

This just goes to show you– keep in mind about a month and a half, two months ago, Joe Biden was so far behind Donald Trump, and now it is within the margin of error in Arizona and Georgia and Nevada, where Kamala Harris is up 1 or 2.

Donald Trump is up by two in North Carolina. Just goes to show you how how quickly, Joe Biden dropping out and her at the top of the ticket. Suddenly people are going, “Hey, thank goodness it’s not Joe!”

LAWRENCE JONES: But that’s just the thing for me. And I’m not going to criticize the American people that are in these polls. But what changed?

I don’t understand how you go from a lower approval rating than Joe Biden to being in a dead heat in all of these swing states, and I just wonder if it has something to do with the manufacture, rebranding of Kamala Harris when it comes to the media.

STEVE DOOCY: Well, it’s working!

LAWRENCE JONES: The same media that made fun of her and criticized her, said that she talked to all her people on background and they said she doesn’t read into briefings. It’s hard to conduct an interview with her, are now saying that– to Brian’s credit — she’s like Barack Obama.

And there is nothing Obama esque about Kamala Harris. He was smooth. He could talk. He goes back and forth for people love the spar.

And you’re not seeing it in Kamala Harris. So is this just the way it’s going to be if the media can rebrand someone, that they can be the next president?
