Fox’s Lawrence Jones Praises Trump for Dropping Grudge Against Brian Kemp Over 2020 Election: ‘That’s How Grown Men Handle Things’

Lawrence Jones praised former President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for abandoning his years-long grudge against Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) for not helping him overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, musing that “that’s how grown men handle things” on Thursday.

Jones’ commentary followed a clip of Kemp praising Trump for drawing “a direct contrast with the Kamala Harris record” in recent days.

“First thing, I like how two grown men, Donald Trump, as well as the governor here, put away their differences and link up for the greater of the country and the greater of the party and say, ‘Listen, we may disagree on some things. We may have duked it out, but we both want to win. We’re going to put it aside.’ That’s how grown men handle things. You duke it out and then you move forward. I do that with Brian [Kilmeade] sometimes. Sometimes he makes me upset, and then I just give him a big hug and say ‘You know what? For the good of the show, we move forward.'”

Kilmeade, who recently interview Kemp, predicted that the former president and governor would campaign together before election day.

“They’re gonna do it, I don’t think there’s any doubt about it,” he speculated. “There’s too much at stake. And it doesn’t make any sense because they both like each other, it’s all about the 2020 election, and I don’t think anybody wants to talk about that right now.”

Trump has long loathed attack Kemp over the popular two-term executive’s refusal to participate in his scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 election, even falsely accusing him of spurring on Trump’s criminal indictment over that scheme in the Peach State as recently as this month.

But Trump changed his tune last week as the race between he and Harris tightened.

“Thank you to @BrianKempGA for all of your help and support in Georgia, where a win is so important to the success of our Party and, most importantly, our Country,” wrote Trump on X and Truth Social. “I look forward to working with you, your team, and all of my friends in Georgia to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
