Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary Eager To Be Kamala Harris’s Next Media Chat: ‘Please, Let Me Do That Interview!’

Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary pitched himself as the next person who should interview Vice President Kamala Harris after the venture capitalist was left frustrated with her CNN sit-down.

O’Leary joined Kayleigh McEnany on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle on Friday and blasted Harris’s first major interview since becoming the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee as more “happy talk” than policy specifics. He questioned whether Harris is capable of a live interview on policy.

“It was more happy talk about the convention slipping over, pictures of the kids — you know what I’m beginning to think? And, look, don’t shoot the messenger. Maybe she can’t do a real interview live with a reporter who asks follow-up questions. I’m not bashing Dana Bash. I think she asked questions, but there weren’t any follow-ups. Maybe she can’t do it!” he said.

O’Leary has been a vocal critic against Harris’s economic policies, including a vow to pass a federal ban on “price gouging” in the food industry. O’Leary argued nearly every policy Harris has backed would add to inflation, including a plan for the government to provide $25,000 to first time home buyers.

“If everybody in the street has $25,000 extra and there’s one home for sale, the seller’s going to get the $25,000 by raising the price $25,000. I’ve been very vocal about this policy,” he said.

The Shark Tank investor then pitched himself as the next person who should interview Harris, specifically on her economic plans.

“I’m in the real estate business. That’s a really bad idea, an immensely bad idea, an incredibly bad idea. And I think somebody should talk about that with her. I’d like to interview her on that idea. I’ll do the interview. I want it live! I want to do that interview because I know real estate, I know state policy, I know regulation, please, let me do that interview,” he said.

“I would watch that interview and I would watch it again and again,” McEnany said.
