Elon Musk Promotes Tweet Calling for Democracy to Be Replaced With ‘Republic’ Run By ‘High Status Males’

Elon Musk engaged in one of his regular habits on The Platform Formerly Known as Twitter, amplifying a controversial tweet by commenting that it was “interesting” — this time a right-wing account that called for democracy to be replaced with a government system run by “high status males” and “aneurotypical people.”

The account that originally shared the post in question, @AutismCapital, has many recent tweets that show support for former President Donald Trump , criticize Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz , or otherwise promote those on the right and take swipes at those on the left.

People who can’t defend themselves physically (women and low T men) parse information through a consensus filter as a safety mechanism. They literally do not ask “is this true”, they ask “will others be OK with me thinking this is true”. This makes them very malleable to brute force manufactured consensus; if every screen they look at says the same thing they will adopt that position because their brain interprets it as everyone in the tribe believing it. Only high T alpha males and aneurotypical people (hey autists!) are actually free to parse new information with an objective “is this true?” filter. This is why a Republic of high status males is best for decision making. Democratic, but a democracy only for those who are free to think.

The tweet was shared with a caption that read, “Also known as the Reich effect” — apparently a dig at Musk critic Robert Reich , an attorney and author who previously served in the administrations of multiple Democratic presidents. The @AutismCapital account has repeatedly attacked Reich for his criticism of Musk and mocked his height (Reich is only 4’11” due to a genetic disorder that affects bone growth).

Musk quote tweeted the post along with his own comment, “Interesting observation.”

Unsurprisingly, Musk’s promotion of a tweet calling for democracy to only be allowed for “those who are free to think,” defined as limited to “high T alpha males and aneurotypical people,” was swiftly met with critical responses noting its sexist and antidemocratic position — and the conflict with Musk’s own claims to support free speech .

The billionaire owner of a major social media posting commentary that argued for “disenfranchising everyone who isn’t a male celebrity or autistic” was revealing him to be an “open fascist,” wrote Vox contributor Eric Levitz , who drily added it was a “suboptimal” situation.

Musk’s tweet was even dunked on by right wing accounts, including former Trump attorney Jenna Ellis and another woman who posted that as a woman she was “thereby vulnerable, but carr[ied] an equalizer,” presumably meaning a firearm, and she didn’t “have any trouble asking if something is true and going against the flow if it’s not.”
