Chris “Mad Dog” Russo stunned the desk on First Take when he implied Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t have much longer to live.

On Wednesday’s episode of First Take , the crew was discussing Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s chances of winning the MVP award. Russo then brought up Prescott’s ongoing contract negotiations and Jones’ supposed unwillingness to give him a long-term deal.

RUSSO: The New York Times did a great thing this week. They put a tier one, tier two, tier three, tier four quarterback thing; and they got Prescott basically where he should be — in tier two, right around 10. And their answer with Prescott is, ‘He has not proved that he can take a team on his back and will them to a win in the post-season; and until he shows that he can do that — and his hasn’t — I could care less if he’s in any MVP conversation because the man [Jones] is 82 years of age. He’s not gonna pay him until he proves he can win a Super Bowl with him.

    MOLLY QERIM : He’s only 82?

    RUSSO: I think he’s 82.

QERIM: Oh, he’s younger than I thought.

    RUSSO: You’re making it sound — he’s not 40. Eight-two’s not young!

    QERIM: Eighty-two’s young.

    RUSSO: No, it’s not!

STEPHEN A. SMITH : It’s not young, Molly.

RUSSO: Not young. You can go any day at 82.

QERIM: OK, can we take it down a notch? I like to speak like into people.

    RUSSO: It’s true! It’s true!
