Melania Trump Swipes at the Media in Trailer for Her New Memoir: I’ve Been Subjected to ‘Public Scrutiny and Misrepresentation’

Former first lady Melania Trump took a.swipe at the media ahead of the publication of her new memoir — set to be released Oct. 8.

In a 45-second trailer, the wife of former President Donald Trump discussed the motivation behind her book.

“Writing this memoir has been a deeply personal and reflective journey for me,” Melania Trump said. “As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts. I believe it is important to share my perspective: The truth.”

There has been much speculation about her relationship with former president Trump given her increasingly low profile on the campaign trail — particularly compared to 2016 and 2020. Last month, Melania Trump made a rare public appearance with her husband by attending his speech on the final night of the Republican National Convention.

On the day after the assassination attempt against her husband, Mrs. Trump issued a glowing statement lauding the former president as a “generous and caring man.”

But comments and public appearances have been few and far between for Melania Trump. She has reportedly sought to keep a low profile in part to protect her and Donald’s son, Barron Trump , who began attending classes at NYU on Wednesday.
