Scaramucci Says There’s No Way Trump Is Done Debating: ‘It’s a Hundred Percent That He’s Gonna Debate’

Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci said it’s a guarantee that former President Donald Trump will do another debate.

On Thursday, Trump wrote on Truth Social that Tuesday’s debate with Vice Presidential Kamala Harris would be his second and last of the election cycle. Trump debated President Joe Biden in June, but Biden of course ended his reelection bid three weeks later.

“THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” the ex-president declared.

The Mooch, who was Trump’s communications director for 11 days – or one Scaramucci – joined Thursday’s AC360 on CNN.

“Do you think he’s actually not going to debate?” Anderson Cooper asked.

“It’s 100% that he’s gonna debate,” Scaramucci replied. “I’ll make that prediction here. He’s he’s a wrestler. You know, he’s like a UFC thing. He’s gonna say he’s not gonna debate. He knows he lost the debate.”

Trump’s performance was widely ridiculed, even by some conservatives who said the former president uttered obvious falsehoods while coming across as irritated or even angry. After the debate, Trump took the highly unusual step of appearing in the spin room.

“I was in that spin room,” Scaramucci said. “When he arrived in that spin room, he went right the Sean Hannity’s desk to tell everybody he won the debate, but he lost the debate. He knows. Anderson, he never would’ve showed up in the spin room if he had won that debate.”

“Generally, if a night goes well, you don’t go to the spin room,” Cooper said.

“Yeah, of course, you don’t do that,” replied The Mooch. “He knows he lost the debate and he knows he’s debating her again. But he has to have a buildup. He thinks there’s a negotiating chip. He’s trying to show his macho flex.”

He went on to note Trump’s late arrival for the debate in Philadelphia, having landed just two hours before it was to begin.

“He’s not gonna be ready,” Scaramucci recalled saying at the time. “He’s gonna be unraveled.”
