Trump Tells Rally Oprah Was ‘Embarrassed’ For Kamala Harris In Interview: ‘Wanted To Go Right Under The Table!’

Former President Donald Trump claimed at a North Carolina rally on Saturday that Oprah Winfrey looked “embarrassed” during her interview earlier in the week with Vice President Kamala Harris .

Trump told rally goers that Winfrey wanted to “hide under the table” during the interview.

“I don’t want to be rude. She’s not competent to be president. Did you see her on Oprah? That’s not going to be president. Oprah didn’t know what the hell to do. Oprah was, like, embarrassed, she wanted to hide under the table, but she was a professional and she was sort of able to disguise it. No, she wanted to go right under the table,” the former president said.

Winfrey has been vocal in her support for Harris. The media mogul gave a surprise Democratic National Convention speech in support of Harris.

“The bottom line for me is that decency and respect are on the ballot. And that’s why I was willing to do it,” she previously told CBS about the motivation behind her speech.

During her sit-down with Winfrey, Harris declared she’d shoot home invaders and she received some pushback from critics for not staying on topic during lengthy answers .

The Winfrey interview is part of increased media Harris has been doing amid criticisms she is avoiding the press too much as a presidential candidate and vice president. The vice president also accepted a CNN invitation for an October debate on Saturday, something the former president dismissed, saying he doesn’t need any further debates.

On Saturday, Trump accused Harris of being “incapable” of doing an interview.

“She’s just — I mean, how this happens, explain it to me, please! How did this happen? We all saw what happened. Did we see what happened? Kamala was a total disaster yesterday and in every other interview, she’s been just a freefall. I don’t know what the hell’s going on. She can’t do an interview. She doesn’t want to do them? Something’s wrong.
