Woman Tells Trump Her Eight-Year-Old Daughter Prayed ‘Every Single Night’ for His Election Win in Cringeworthy Video

A fan of former President Donald Trump heaped gobs of praise on him and claimed in 2016 that she prayed by her daughter’s bed that he would win the White House.

Trump was in Smithton, Pennsylvania on Monday for a roundtable event where he fielded questions and plaudits. The former president hopes to repeat his 2016 performance by carrying Pennsylvania, which would put him in a decent position to recapture the presidency.

“The last thing I wanted to say is my hardest job is not running three businesses,” a woman at the event told Trump. “It’s actually being a mom to a daughter that’s here today.”

The woman noted her daughter was in the room and asked her to raise her hand so the former president could see her.

“She is not in school today,” she explained. “And she asked that she could be here and she could see you. I’m doing everything that I can to try to give her the truth every day. And I just wanted to say, and I told you that, eight years ago when you were running and she was just eight years old then, every night she would go to bed, and I would kneel on the floor next to her bed and we would pray every single night for you. And every night she would speak out to God, and she would say, ‘Dear God, please let Mr. Trump win, please.'”

The woman went on to explain that her daughter could not stay up to watch the election results in 2016, but that when the race was called for Trump, she fetched her daughter.

“But at two o’clock in the morning when we finally knew that you had won, I went into her bedroom,” she continued. “I scooped her up out of her sound sleep, and I was literally – tears pouring down – and I said, ‘Baby, Mr. Trump won. ‘Baby, He won. He won.’ And she said, ‘Thank you, God. Thank you, God.’ And so she is here with us today. And I just wanted to let you know that we are still praying for you.”

Trump is making a big push for the Keystone State. Earlier this month, the former president was in Harrisburg, where he told the crowd, “You’ve gotta vote for me. Even if you don’t like me!”
