Vivek Ramaswamy Deploys Anti-Semitic Trope Against Jewish Democratic Donor: ‘You Can Even See the Puppet Master Pulling the Strings’

Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy deemed Democratic donor Alex Soros a “puppet master” who is “pulling the strings” of Democratic Party politics.

Soros is the son of billionaire Democratic donor George Soros , a Holocaust survivor.

Conservative media has played up a meeting the younger Soros hosted with Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz at the scion’s New York home.

Ramaswamy appeared on Wednesday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle on Fox News, where the host claimed most billionaires support Vice President Kamala Harris against former President Donald Trump .

“You’ve got Alex Soros meeting with Tim Walz,” Laura Ingraham noted. “You have the global establishment, the World Economic Forum types, Oprah, Taylor Swift. You know, these are the billionaires – not that Trump doesn’t have a few billionaires – but most of the billionaires are for Kamala Harris. What do they want to preserve, Vivek, so the viewers out there tonight fully understand what’s at stake?”

Ramaswamy replied:

So, look, I have no objection to being a billionaire, speaking as somebody who has lived the American dream myself. But what I do have an objection to is the kind of puppeteering that you see now in the Democratic Party. Look at those images of Alex Soros standing next to Tim Walz. Looks like if you squint really closely you can even see the puppet master pulling the strings right there.

And that, I think, is ultimate irony. The party that will tell the poor in this country that the rich people are screwing you over are indeed the very rich people who are speaking that message to people and deceiving them.

The image of a Jewish puppet master controlling world politics and the global economy is a long-running anti-Semitic trope . George Soros himself has often been the target of such attacks from far-right figures.

It’s not the first time the puppet master refrain has appeared on Fox. In 2022, a graphic on Jesse Watters Primetime showed Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is Jewish, puppeteering a doll of President Joe Biden.
