Trump Inexplicably Shares Private Message From Ukraine’s Zelensky Asking to Meet in Person

Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Thursday to reveal an alleged plea Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sent him asking for a meeting.

Trump’s decision to post the message comes after Zelensky criticized him in a recent interview with The New Yorker by saying “Trump doesn’t really know how to stop the war even if he might think he knows how.” The Ukrainian president has also recently slammed Trump’s vice presidential nominee JD Vance for being “too radical.”

In the message post to Truth Social, the Ukraine leader referred to a “really good” recent phone call with Trump before asking Trump to meet him in New York on Friday for a meeting. The message was allegedly sent to Trump by Denys Sienik, deputy ambassador of Ukraine, on Zelensky’s behalf.

It is unclear if the message Trump posted was sent recently to him and the authenticity of the message has not been confirmed. Zelensky allegedly wrote the following to Trump:

Dear Donald, I hope you’re doing well. I recall our recent phone call — it was really good. All of us in Ukraine want to end this war with a just peace. And we know that without America this is impossible to achieve. That’s why we have to strive to understand each other and remain in close contact. Days ago, we requested a meeting with you, and I really want to hear your thoughts directly, and firsthand. You know I always speak with great respect about everything connected to you, and that’s how it should be. I can be in New York on Friday, which would be a good time to meet. I believe it’s important for us to have a personal contact and to understand each other 100%. Let me know if you are in the city at that time — I would really like for our meeting to take place, as part of our efforts to help us end this war in a just way.
