Fox Comedian Rob Schneider Blames NBA Legend’s Cancer Death on Vaccines

D-list comedian Rob Schneider blamed vaccines for the death of Dikembe Mutombo .

Mutombo, who played 18 seasons in the NBA in his Hall of Fame career, died on Monday from brain cancer at the age of 58. At 7’2″, Mutombo, who was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo before becoming a standout player at Georgetown and in the pros from 1991 to 2008, was famous for his wicked blocks and the occasional finger wag at opponents whose shots he swatted away. He was also a humanitarian. In 1998, he raised money to build a 300-bed hospital in his native D.R.C. Later, during the Covid-19 pandemic, he became a public advocate for the vaccine.

In December 2021, Mutombo posted a video on Twitter urging people to get vaccinated against Covid.

“This holiday season stay informed from trusted sources like @WHO and get vaccinated,” he wrote. “Only together can we be safe and defeat COVID.”

Schneider, who recorded a comedy special for Fox Nation last year and is an occasional guest on Fox News, retweeted the late Mutombo’s tweet and suggested the Hall of Famer died because of the vaccine.

“Rest in Peace,” Schneider tweeted before exploiting the legend’s death for clout. “I’m sure this is just (another) coincidence. But I took a pass on the Jab and I’m gonna not let anyone I know (and who will Listen) get it either!”

Last year, Schneider taped a special for FOX Nation – Fox News’s streaming service – called “Woke Up in America.”
