Michael Moore Warns Kamala Harris ‘Move to the Center’ Could Cost Her Election: Don’t ‘Shun’ Progressive ‘Base’

Filmmaker and activist Michael Moore is confident Vice President Kamala Harris is on her way to victory in November, but in a new column he warned there are a few ways she can botch it.

In a Substack post , Moore broke down multiple scenarios where Harris defeats former President Donald Trump , some electoral counts in these hypothetical scenarios much closer than others. The Fahrenheit 9/11 director is though that in most scenarios, Harris comes out the winner.

Moore declared the election was “over weeks ago” if you know how to “really” read polls or have access to more exclusive polls for “elites.”

“Right now, if you know how to really read the polls, or if you have access to the various private and internal polling being conducted by and shared only amongst the elites, Wall Street, and Members of Congress, then you already know that this election was over weeks ago,” he wrote.

Moore warned that there are multiple ways to botch the last few weeks of the election even with the momentum Harris has built, and one of those ways is a “move to the center.”

“Another mistake that could be made in these final 4-5 weeks is if Harris is advised by her wealthy donors to shun the left and drop her more progressive positions in favor of a ‘move to the center.’ This, too, could reduce or depress the vote for Harris, especially among the base. I know many of you don’t want to hear that, but I’m just trying to warn you that the actions of party hacks and pundits have consequences,” Moore wrote.

Critics have already targeted Harris over some softened positions, including a reverse on her previous position that fracking should be banned.

Moore told Democrats to “assume nothing” about this upcoming election, but still argued Trump will be “going down in flames” if Democrats can manage to get out the vote, especially in a state like Michigan where the filmmaker warned many Palestinian-American voters may end up shunning the party over the administration’s support of Israel.

Moore wrote that he’s looking forward to a “new era” under Harris where caucasians are “no longer the bossy pants” of the world.

“I just need to say out loud that which is being said to me in private by people I respect — and not just in whispers, but in excited tones of exuberance: That a new era is being born, one where caucasian is just one of the options but no longer the bossy pants of the world,” he wrote.
