Biden Says He’s Unsure the Outcome of the Presidential Election Will Be ‘Peaceful’: Trump Has Said ‘Very Dangerous’ Things

President Joe Biden said he is unsure if the November election will end in a “peaceful” outcome because of Donald Trump’s “very dangerous” rhetoric when asked about the topic.

Biden joined reporters for the first time since entering office at a White House press briefing on Friday. A reporter asked the president about the state of the election as the race enters its final month.

The president told reporters he believes the election will be “fair and free” but the result may not be peaceful because of Trump’s remarks. Biden also confirmed he has had briefings relating to domestic security.

REPORTER: The election is a month away. One I’d like to know how you’re feeling about how this election is going. And then also, do you have confidence that it will be a free and fair election and that it will be peaceful?

BIDEN: Two separate questions. I’m confident it will be free and fair. I don’t know whether it will be peaceful. The things that Trump has said and the things that he said last time out, when he didn’t like the outcome of the election, were very dangerous. Have you noticed? I noticed. The vice presidential Republican candidate did not say he’d accept the outcome of the election. He wasn’t happy to accept the outcome of the last election. So I I’m concerned about what they’re going to do.

REPORTER: Are you making any preparations, given security briefings related to domestic security?

BIDEN: I always get those briefings.
