Trump Confides to Kellyanne Conway He Doesn’t Feel ‘Safe’ Campaigning Before Return to Site of PA Assassination Attempt

Former President Donald Trump told Kellyanne Conway he doesn’t feel “safe” on the campaign trail ahead of him returning to Butler, Pennsylvania where he was shot at during a July rally.

In an episode of Fox Nation’s Here’s the Deal with Kellyanne , host Conway, a former advisor to Trump, aired last week, Trump said he’s in a “dangerous position” following two assassination attempts .

Conway asked Trump is he feels “safe” on the campaign trail today, and Trump replied, “No.”

“No, no, I don’t feel safe. It’s a dangerous business,” he said. “I’m in a very dangerous position and, sadly or unsadly, it’s only consequential presidents that this happens to.”

The former president said he has a lot of “enemies” because he’s “doing the right thing.”

“I have a lot of enemies because I’m doing the right thing. This MAGA is a great thing because it says it better than anything anybody can say. I want to make America great again, and that’s what we’re doing. We have more support, I think, than anybody’s ever had, and I think we’re going to have a great election,” he said.

Trump’s sit-down with Conway came just days before he returns to the Butler rally site where a gunman shot at Trump, injuring his ear. A rally goer named Thomas Crooks was also killed.

Last month, there was a second shooting at Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course. A would-be gunman set up a rifle in the bushes where Trump plays golf and he was later arrested after engaging with Secret Service.

Trump is returning to Butler for a Saturday evening rally. Fox News’ Pete Hegseth reported from the rally, already packed on Saturday morning, and said as many as 100,000 people are expected.
