New York Democrat Decries Party Fundraiser Being Bloodied On New York City Streets By Pro-Palestinian Protestors

Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) condemned violence that took place on Monday in New York City as pro-Palestinian protesters were caught on video harassing a man with an Israel flag.

Goldman shared a clip on X, in which Todd Richman a co-chair of the Democratic Majority for Israel PAC, appeared to be attacked near Union Square and left with a bloodied nose. Goldman wrote, “On the anniversary of the worst attack against Jews since the Holocaust, watch this and ask yourself: Do you ever see videos of Israelis or Jews attacking people carrying flags of Hamas or Hezbollah — terrorist groups whose sole existence is to destroy Israel and kill all Jews?”

In the clip, Richman is surrounded by a mob in which members are carrying the Palestinian flag and many are wearing keffiyehs. The police eventually came to help Richman and another video was later posted online in which he gives them his statement and claims, “I was just walking down the street, doing absolutely nothing” while a protest shouts he was “the agitator.”

Local affiliate NBC10 reported on the scene in the clip, writing, “Richman then engages in a shouting match with other protesters whose faces are shrouded by keffiyeh scarves. The altercation turns physical as the protesters strike Richman with the tambourine and a Palestinian flagpole. Blood appears to stream from his nose after the attack.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also shared the clip online and wrote, “Arrest every single person involved in these attacks and then investigate who is funding them.”
