‘It’s Un-American!’ Biden Lashes Out At Trump And Allies Over Hurricane Lies While ‘People Are Scared To Death!’

President Joe Biden shredded former President Donald Trump and his allies who are spreading lies about Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton response efforts, calling them “un-American.”

Trump and his allies in the media and politics have been spreading misleading information and outright lies about the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other Biden administration responses to the devastating Hurricane Helene, as well as the upcoming response to Hurricane Milton.

On Tuesday, President Biden gave an update on the federal response and preparedness, after which he took questions from reporters. In one exchange, he torched the spreaders of misinformation:

REPORTER: Sir, what’s the risk of political figures sharing misinformation during this time?

PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: If past is prologue, it’s real, but the fact of the matter is, I think we have I’ve been able to contact all the governors.

They are sticking up for what we have asked for, pointing out that they’re satisfied with everything they’re getting. But I can’t speak for others.

And I mean, just look. Those who do it, do it to try to damage the administration. We can take care of ourselves.

But it misleads people. Puts people in circumstances where they panic. People that are really, really, really, really worried. And thin k they’re not being taken care of.

And it really is — ot’s gonna sound, to use an old phrase is it’s un-American! It really is.

People are scared to death! People know their lives are at stake. All that they work for, all they own, all that they value. And it’s just. It’s. It’s just. Anyway.

PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: Wait wait wait– I’ll be– plenty of time to talk about Angola. I still plan on going after Africa. Plenty of time to talk about what’s going on in Latin America, South America, in terms of the Amazon.

And I’m going to be talking today with my friend, the chancellor of Germany, and we’re going to try to work that. We’ve already contacted all these people, but I’m going to be on the phone today.

I’m heading shortly. When I get up from here, I’m heading out to Wisconsin, to Milwaukee. And but I think we can still plan on visiting all the places I said I’d be and all the conferences. I said I’d participate in.

PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: Governor of Florida has been cooperative. He said he’s gotten all the we need. I talked to him again yesterday and I and I said, whoever I said know, you’re doing a great job. It’s been, all being done. We thank you for it.

And I literally gave my personal phone number to call. So I don’t know. There was a rough start in some places, but every governor, every governor from Florida to North Carolina has been fully cooperative and supportive and acknowledged what this team is doing and they’re doing an incredible job. We’ve got a lot more to do.
