Host Busts Out Laughing When Trump Claims He’s ‘Basically A Truthful Person’ — Almost Falls Off His Couch

Former President Donald Trump made comedian and podcast host Andrew Schulz laugh so hard he almost fell off his couch — by claiming “I’m basically a truthful person.”

In August, Vice President Kamala Harris released a campaign ad stating that she worked at the ubiquitous fast-food chain McDonald’s while she was in college. The ad sparked attacks from critics who claimed—without evidence—that she never worked there and even that McDonald’s confirmed this (they did not ).

Trump has made it part of his stump speech to attack Harris with this baseless claim and has now broken a promise to spend half an hour working the fry station before October 4.

It was this baseless claim that caused Trump to make the declaration on Wednesday’s edition of the Flagrant podcast :

DONALD TRUMP: When they do things, and they do a lot. But I always refer back to the simplicity of McDonald’s. You lied about McDonald’s. You lied about many things, and she’s a liar.

You — there should be some kind of a rule when they know it’s a lie, you can’t do a commercial on it.

But this is a thing that’s going to end in 29 days so they can say what they want.

I have a hard time doing it to them because I’m basically, you know, I’m basically a truthful person.

ANDREW SCHULZ: [BUSTS OUT LAUGHING]

DONALD TRUMP: But and, you know, but frankly, no but, frankly —

ANDREW SCHULZ: [STILL LAUGHING]

DONALD TRUMP: She’s given me so much ammunition. I don’t really have to. She’s a radical left lunatic who will destroy our nation. Other than that, but she will destroy our nation.

So when you take a look at it, and I think that you know just getting back to your original thought on the aborsh — having it back in the States, the people are now voting on it. And we’re going to put an end to a 52 year ordeal.
