ABC warned its audience about a shocking political advertisement the network was forced to air comparing co-hosts of The View to Nazis while presenting “graphic imagery” of abortions.

The commercial played during the final break of the Thursday airing of The View. Before it came on-air, a message appeared on the screen, stating, “The following is a paid political advertisement, and the ABC Television Network is required to carry it by federal law. The advertisement contains scenes that may be disturbing to children. Viewer discretion is advised.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, the advertisement was made by obscure presidential candidate Randall Terry. The video starts with an image of Miley Cyrus licking a cake with the message “abortion is healthcare” next to the image of Whoopi Goldberg.

The commercial also displays images of all six of The View co-hosts and other major media figures and celebrities, including Jake Tapper, Dana Bash, Taylor Swift, and Oprah Winfrey.

“These are dead human beings murdered by abortion that you promote. If history even remembers you, you’ll be remembered like Leni Riefenstahl and Joseph Goebbels. The name of the wicked will rot,” Terry says in the commercial as images of fetuses and abortion procedures play on the screen.

After the clip played on air, the network issued another warning that stated, “The preceding was a paid political advertisement that the ABC Television Network was required to carry under federal law. The advertisement contained scenes that may be disturbing to viewers.”

Many of the individuals shown in the shocking political advertisement support the accessibility of women’s healthcare and reproductive rights.

“The ad in which presidential candidate Randall Terry — without merit or explanation — compares multiple respected CNN journalists and commentators to Nazis is outrageous, antisemitic, and dangerous,” said a CNN representative in a statement to EW.

I was today years old when I found out that the tv show The View is actually part of ABC News. So it’s not just a talk show. It’s actually a news show.
