Trump Trashes ‘Very Soft’ Bret Baier Ahead of Harris Interview: ‘Fox Has Grown So Weak and Soft on the Democrats’

Former President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump weighed in on Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’s upcoming interview with Bret Baier by trashing both Baier and Fox News on Monday.

It was announced earlier in the day that Baier would be taping and Fox would be airing an interview with Harris on Wednesday in what would mark her first ever formal sit down with Fox.

Trump did not take well to the news, but suggested that Harris had chosen her interlocutor “wisely.”

“Lyin’ Kamala Harris has wisely chosen Bret Baier, of FoxNews, to do a much needed interview, because he is considered to be ‘Fair & Balanced,’ though often very soft to those on the ‘cocktail circuit’ Left,” he wrote in a post on Truth Social. “I would have preferred seeing a more hard hitting journalist, but Fox has grown so weak and soft on the Democrats, constantly polluting the airwaves with unopposed Kamala Representatives, that it all doesn’t matter anymore. Hopefully, the people will understand on November 5th, and Early Voting. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump has been extremely critical of Fox since leaving the presidency, and while he now derides Baier as “very soft,” he has also derided Baier for being “nasty” and “really unfriendly” to himself in a tough 2023 interview.

“When I did the interview with Bret, I thought it was fine. I thought it was okay, but there was nothing friendly about it. You know, it was nasty,” remarked Trump at the time. “It was really like, unfriendly. Everything was like unfriendly. No smiling, no let’s have fun, let’s Make America Great Again. Everything was like a hit. So you have a hostile network.”

Last week, Trump attacked Fox for sometimes having liberal guests on, complaining that they bring on “really negative voice[s]” who their “daytime anchors are no match for.”

“The net result is NOTHINGNESS, so what’s the purpose in watching?” he wrote on Truth Social.
