Trump Melts Down In Wild Post Claiming Kamala Harris ‘Should Be Investigated’ And Biden Should Be His Opponent Again

Former President Donald Trump posted to his Truth Social platform on Thursday, repeating his demand that CBS lose its broadcast license for edits made to Vice President Kamala Harris’s 60 Minutes interview this month, which is standard practice for the time-limited program. Trump went so far as to argue that Harris’s involvement in the interview should be investigated and President Joe Biden should replace her atop the Democratic ticket as his opponent.

“60 MINUTES SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY TAKEN OFF THE AIR – ELECTION INTERFERENCE. CBS SHOULD LOSE ITS LICENSE. THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCANDAL IN BROADCAST HISTORY. Kamala should be investigated and forced off the Campaign, and Joe Biden allowed to take back his rightful place (He got 14 Million Primary Votes, she got none!). THIS WHOLE SORDID AND FRAUDULENT EVENT IS A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!” Trump wrote , while linking to a Fox News article.

The Fox article was titled, “CBS accused of ‘significant and intentional news distortion’ in FCC complaint over ’60 Minutes’ edit.” The Federal Communications Commission has already responded to Trump’s call to strip CBS of its broadcast license.

FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel released a statement last week saying , “While repeated attacks against broadcast stations by the former President may now be familiar, these threats against free speech are serious and should not be ignored.” She added:

As I’ve said before, the First Amendment is a cornerstone of our democracy. The FCC does not and will not revoke licenses for broadcast stations simply because a political candidate disagrees with or dislikes content or coverage.

Trump also posted to Truth Social on Thursday, “Why won’t 60 Minutes release the fraudulent tapes of Lyin’ Kamala’s Interview with them? Could it be because it was a COMPLETE AND TOTAL DISASTER, or that they “CREATED” many additional new answers for her, not just the one where she was so embarrassingly CAUGHT. In normal times, what happened on 60 Minutes, (deceptively “doctoring” her answers), would be THE END OF ANYONE’S CAMPAIGN! Kamala is slow, incoherent, and is in no way qualified to be President of the United States. RELEASE THE TAPES FOR THE GOOD OF AMERICA. We can do it the nice way, or the hard way!”

CBS has been under fire from Trump since the network released two different versions of Harris responding to the same question. One version was during a promotional clip for the interview on Face the Nation , the other was during 60 Minutes itself (you can read both versions of the edit here ). The Harris campaign subsequently made clear it had nothing to do with how CBS edited her interview.

Notably, Trump’s network interviews are also regularly edited, as was his town hall on Fox News just the day before. Earlier on Thursday, Trump attacked Fox News and claimed if he beats “moron” Harris it will be “despite” the friendly network.
