    Body recovered from Clear Lake where 13-year-old went underwater

    MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. - UPDATE, July 27, 5:47 p.m.:

    A body has been recovered from Clear Lake Saturday afternoon where a 13-year-old girl went underwater.

    Multiple first responders were performing CPR on the scene around 5 p.m.

    Spokane County Sheriff's Office confirmed the body belonged to the teenage victim.

    UPDATE, July 27, 4:31 p.m.:

    Spokane County Fire District 3 said the potential rescue of a 13-year-old girl who went under the water at Clear Lake Saturday afternoon is now a potential body recovery mission.

    EMS and fire crews have cleared the scene.

    The Spokane County Sheriff's Department is still at the lake with search and rescue boats using sonar to try and find the possible body.

    ORIGINAL STORY, July 27, 2:23 p.m.:

    The Spokane County Sheriff's Department said it's currently looking for a 13-year-old girl who went under the water at Clear Lake Saturday afternoon.

    According to the Sheriff's Office, reports came in just before 1 p.m. saying the girl jumped off a boat with a friend but didn't resurface.

    Police, firefighters, and EMTs are currently out at the lake searching for the missing girl.

    The Sheriff's Office said the dive team and one Life Flight team is now on site.

    If you are in the area, keep your distance so first responders can continue search efforts.
