72-year-old pedestrian struck by vehicle in Medina Public Square

A woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a vehicle Monday morning at Medina's Public Square.

Medina police 72-year-old woman was taken by medical helicopter to a trauma center. Her condition is unknown at the time.

Preliminary information indicates the driver of the vehicle failed to yield to the pedestrian in the crosswalk. Police say the driver is cooperative and no drugs or alcohol are suspected.

The crash is still under investigation.
