US Marshals arrest ex-boyfriend month after young mother shot in Hollywood
More than a month after a woman was shot in Hollywood, her family says the person arrested was her ex-boyfriend. Hollywood Police said Jaquim Arenas was arrested and taken into custody Tuesday by officers assigned to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in connection with the shooting that happened June 21 at 4105 Pembroke Road.
Residents of a Pembroke Pines condo community deemed unsafe ordered to evacuate
FORT LAUDERDALE - The remaining residents of a condominium community deemed unsafe in Pembroke Pines have been given roughly a month to leave.Last year, unsafe structure notices were issued for seven buildings within the Heron Pond Condominium community, 8400 SW 1st Street, that have since been fully evacuated. Additionally, specific units in the seven other buildings were also evacuated. Those ordered to leave did not know if or when they would be allowed to return. Man pleads guilty to 1 felony, 2 misdemeanors in Miami-Dade road rage case
MIAMI – A 41-year-old man pleaded guilty to multiple charges in connection with a 2023 road rage incident in far northwest Miami-Dade. Court records show William Angelo Puig pleaded guilty to one count of felony criminal mischief and two misdemeanor counts of battery and leaving the scene of a crash causing damage. Florida Man Pleads Guilty to Health Care Fraud in Boston Federal Court
A Florida man, Jeffrey MacEachron, aged 60, has formally admitted to committing health care fraud, with the plea entered yesterday before a federal court in Boston. MacEachron, the proprietor of PT4U, Inc., which operates physical therapy clinics in Bedford and Lexington, Massachusetts, engaged in a fraudulent scheme to mislead insurance companies and TRICARE by claiming payment for services that were never provided.
