Free paint recycling event to be held in Denver
The City and County of Denver said it has partnered with GreenSheen Paint to host the free recycling event on July 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1271 W. Bayaud Ave. The public can drop off unwanted paint in its original containers (five gallons or less) while remaining in their vehicles.
No charges for Denver police officers who shot and killed man who charged with large knife
No criminal charges will be filed against three Denver police officers who last month shot and killed a man as he advanced toward them with a large knife. Denver District Attorney Beth McCann said Miguel Tapia charged quickly at two of the officers with a knife and, thus, all three officers were legally justified in using deadly physical force to stop him.

Major renovations to close Sam Caudill State Wildlife Area until Spring 2025
Colorado Parks and Wildlife announced an upcoming closure to the Sam Caudill State Wildlife Area (SWA) scheduled from Aug. 8 through March 2025, according to a news release.
