Meeker County Solar-Wind amendment changes
The Meeker County Planning Commission will meet at the Courthouse in Litchfield, MN on July 23, 2024 at 5:00pm to consider the following possible Zoning Ordinance Amendments. The proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance are summarized as follows, please note that additions are indicated in bold text, with the exception of paragraph headings, and the deleted items are struck out. Each individual numbered item constitutes a separate hearing.
Man believed to have been stabbed, struck by car, Meeker County sheriff says
A 50-year-old Olivia, Minn., man is believed to have been stabbed and struck by a vehicle Friday in what the Meeker County Sheriff's Office says was a targeted attack. Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene in Litchfield Township, along 600th Avenue near 230th Street, after 5 p.m. and found the man in a ditch with serious injuries, listed as "an apparent stab wound and injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle," according to a sheriff's news release Saturday.

Three hurt in pickup crash near Watkins
(Watkins MN-) Three people were hurt when a pickup crashed near Watkins Monday afternoon. The Meeker County Sheriff's Department says at 3:47 p.m. they received a report of an injury crash in the 74000 block of County Road 19, Kingston Township. A pick-up truck driven by 45-year-old Wade Davison of Monticello was traveling south on County Road 19 when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. Davison was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted to Saint Cloud Hospital by Life Link III Air Ambulance. The front seat passenger, 42-year-old Jacob Holly of Dassel was taken by ambulance to Saint Cloud Hospital, and a minor passenger was taken to Saint Cloud Hospital by Watkins Ambulance. A injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

A pick-up truck rammed into a tree on Monday, sending the driver and two passengers to St. Cloud Hospital. According to Meeker Sheriff Brian Cruze of Meeker County, a vehicle traveling south on County Road 19 in Kingston Township left the road and hit a tree.
