Pottsville Man Arrested on Multiple Charges After Traffic Stop
A routine patrol led to an arrest in the early hours of Saturday, July 20th, 2024, according to the Pottsville Police Department. Around 1:20 AM, Officer Hrebik observed a black F-150 parked in the middle of a street in front of a home known for its association with drug activity.
Keystone College Observatory Announces Summer Sessions
The Keystone College Thomas G. Cupillari ’60 Astronomical Observatory will offer a four-week summer schedule which began on Wednesday, July 17, and continues each Wednesday and Friday evening from 9 – 11 p.m. through Friday, August 16. The somber announcement, made by the Dallas Police Department last Saturday, reminds us that the safety our officers provide sometimes comes at the ultimate cost.
Probing the cause of two separate fires this weekend in NEPA
Fire damaged an apartment building in Taylor Saturday afternoon, leaving 8 people without a place to live. Flames broke out just before 1 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street in Taylor. Smoke could be seen coming from the back of the building. Several fire departments responded to help put out the flames. Neighbors say everyone made it out safely following that weekend fire in Taylor.
