Many people scoff at the idea that God might be an extraterrestrial. But the Bible supports it!

Here are 20 Bible verses that might make you believe in the Aliens as God theory.

Which Bible?

The Bible has been translated countless times into countless languages. These verses come from the 1984 New International Version of the Old Testament.

Proof vs Evidence

None of these passages completely prove the aliens as god theory, but they make compelling evidence that the God of the Old Testament isn’t the omnipotent being we’re taught he is.

All of this makes sense if God is actually an extraterrestrial being, though.

What Happened To Enoch?

Genesis Chapter 5 says, “Enoch walked with God, then he was nor more because God took him away.”

Some call “taking away” a euphemism for death, but every other person mentioned in this chapter just died without any euphemism. So, where did God take Enoch?

Sons of God, Daughters of Man

“The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.”

Who are the sons of God, and how can they “marry” humans?

Oh Babel

Human ingenuity terrified God. “If as one people speaking one language, they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

Why would an omnipotent God be so terrified of his creation that he needed to thwart it?

Jacob Bests God

Can a human beat God in a wrestling match? Jacob did in Genesis 32. Not only did he win, but he wouldn’t stop until God agreed to bless him.

Pharaoh’s Magicians Give God a Run for His Money

In Exodus, God sends seven plagues upon the Egyptians to convince Pharaoh to free his people. The plagues would be scarier if Pharoah’s magicians couldn’t replicate most of them.

But how did they replicate the magic? Perhaps they had some of the alien technology.

So Much To Prove

The God of the Old Testament has so much to prove to ancient peoples. Why would a God who created the universe have to prove himself to his creations?

God Needs Some Help

Exodus 12:13 shows that God isn’t omnipotent. He has no idea where his people live. They have to show him by putting lamb’s blood on their doors.

“The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass you over.”

The Spaceship

Exodus 13:20 describes God’s spaceship. “Bu the day, the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light.”

Exodus 19:7 also describes the spaceship. “The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, the whole mountain trembled violently, and the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder.”

Air Drops

Sure, an omnipotent God could drop food down on his people wandering in the desert, but a spaceship could also easily drop food supplies.

Human Emotions

The God of the Old Testament is jealous and vengeful. Exodus 20:5 states, “For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sins of the fathers to the 3rd and 4th generations.”

An ethereal God could have emotions, but these tirades sound like something biological creatures experience.

God Needs Stuff

Biological creatures need food and water to survive and want supplies and base materials to thrive. God constantly asks his people to give him stuff. In Exodus 25:1, he lists all the offerings he’ll accept from his people.

God’s Cloud

Many verses describe God descending in a “pillar of cloud.” When considering the modern world, this could easily be a transportation device or even a type of holographic communication system.

All the Other Gods

The Old Testament makes tons of references to other gods for a monotheistic religion. Exodus 23:13 warns against invoking the names of other gods, Numbers 33:4 talks about God fighting other gods, and in Deuteronomy 3:24, Moses compares his God to different culture’s gods.

Who are these other gods? They could be rival extraterrestrials.

God’s Senses

Deuteronomy 4:28 dismisses the worship of man-made gods, saying, “There you will worship manmade gods of wood and stone, which can not see or hear or eat or smell.”

The passage implies that God can see, hear, eat, and smell, like many other biological life forms.

The Commander of the Lord’s Army

The Old Testament Book of Joshua refers to the Commander of the Lord’s Army. Though some interpret this as a disguise, a literal interpretation must lead us to believe God has some type of army complete with a chain of command.

Who are the people who make up this army? Are they human or creatures of God’s race?

Gold for the Treasury

Joshua 6:19 describes God’s war chest. “All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the Lord and must go into his treasury.”

If God created the world, couldn’t he make as much silver, gold, bronze, and iron as he wanted? Conveniently, God deemed important metals sacred.

God’s Anger When Israelis Take His Metal

You might think God is collecting these treasures to help his people, but his wrath when the people need them and take them for themselves is unmatched. He screams about it in Josuah 7:10, and over 30 people die over it.

Is That a Drone?

Deuteronomy 7:20 and Joshua 24:12 mention a deadly hornet that helps defeat all enemies. It sounds like a modern-day drone.

God of the People

The Old Testament makes numerous references to a God that literally walks and talks among the people. God has conversations with Moses, Joshua, and Samuel. He dwells among the Israelites. He appears before Shiloh and enters the Philistine's camp.

All these passages prove that a physical being exists and interacts with people. Why did all that stop after the Bronze Age? In the aliens as God theory, it stopped when the aliens left or died out. There’s no explanation for why an omnipotent, eternal God would stop interacting with the people.

Ephod or iPad?

Samuel 30:7 explains how David talks to God. “Then David said to Abathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod.” Abiathar brought it to him, and David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party?”

The Ephod sounds like an ancient version of the iPad that David used to communicate with God.
