Hampton teen quickly climbing gymnastics ladder
Hampton teen Ella Lattimore enjoyed gymnastics long before she became any good at it. “It definitely took some time,” she said. “I really liked to do it, but I wasn’t very good. I just kind of showed up at the competitions, I did OK, and I left.”
YouthFest in Hampton highlights 'kidpreneurs'
HAMPTON, Va. — Young entrepreneurs got the chance to show off their unique ideas at a Hampton festival on Saturday afternoon. The Greater Aberdeen Community Coalition hosted its third annual YouthFest for "Kidpreneurs"; it gave kids an environment to showcase their products and their talents! They also got a chance to meet business owners from the community.

Both are natives of the Commonwealth with O’Ferrall from Richmond — the Brooks Wallace Award winner for college baseball’s best shortstop — was the 32nd overall selection in the 1st round.

Volvo Trucks Awarded $208M Grant
U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) applauded an announcement from the Department of Energy that Mack and Volvo Trucks will be awarded over $208 million in federal funding through the Domestic Manufacturing Conversion Grant Program. The funding was made possible by the Inflation Reduction Act, which the senators voted to pass. The funding will upgrade operations, sustain 7,900 union jobs, and create 295 new jobs in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In Virginia, it will support electric heavy-duty vehicle production at Volvo’s New River Valley (NRV) truck manufacturing facility by creating a mixed model assembly line. Warner and Kaine wrote a letter in support of Mack and Volvo Trucks’ application earlier this year.
