MLB announcers slip hilarious words into broadcast
The Minnesota Twins are taking a page out of the book of their American League Central division rivals. As the Detroit Tigers did with play-by-play voice Jason Benetti, some of Minnesota’s players gave the team’s announcers some words to slip into the broadcast. The Wall That Heals Exhibit
The Wall That Heals exhibit, which includes a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center, is in Hutchinson this weekend at 1150 Benjamin Road South – in the industrial park. The 29th season of The Wall That Heals began in January in Hawaii and is visiting 31 communities this year. The traveling exhibit honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. It’s open 24 hours a day, with “Taps” played at sunset and will end at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 25th, in Hutchinson with a closing ceremony at 1:30.
Update: Emergency No-Wake Zone Lifted for North Browns Lake as Conditions Improve
(KNSI) – An emergency no-wake zone has been removed from a Richmond area lake. The order for North Browns Lake went into effect on August 15th. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says while water levels remain high, the conditions have improved over the last eight days to the point that that the order can be lifted.
Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, St. Cloud Police Represented On DWI Enforcer All-Stars
(KNSI) – Two local law enforcement officials will be honored at Sunday’s Minnesota Twins game. St. Cloud Police Officer Colton Richter and Stearns County Sheriff’s Deputy Ethan Schwinghammer will take to the diamond at Target Field as part of the 2024 DWI Enforcer All-Stars. Schwinghammer has been selected before.
Stearns County Closes Two Rivers Lake County Park Until Saturday
(KNSI) – Two Rivers Lake County Park near Albany is closed until Saturday. The Stearns County Parks Department says it has begun a maintenance project to seal coat the entrance road and the trail leading to the open-air shelter. Once applied, the coat has to dry before the pavement can be used again.
