2,577 horses rounded up in BLM North Lander horse gather
CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Bureau of Land Management’s efforts to control horse populations in the North Lander Complex is complete, with 2,577 total horses rounded up. According to a BLM Facebook post, the creatures were gathered from BLM-managed public lands and adjacent private lands where they had moved outside of the complex.

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 19, 2024, a Missoula Police Department Officer was dispatched to the area of 1215 Phillips Street regarding a man who appeared to be passed out in his vehicle while driving. Red Cross Operates Shelters During Busy Fire Season
Residents of Oregon and SW Washington are in the middle of a busy wildfire season as the climate crisis threatens to upend more communities. The American Red Cross Cascades Region opened our first shelter in La Pine on June 25th due to the Darlene 3 Fire and we have not stopped since. We are currently operating in 4 different locations in our region plus we are helping support or neighboring Red Cross regions in Washington, Idaho and Montana.

UPDATE: July 26 at 5:55 p.m. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has closed the Blackfoot River from River Junction to Russell Gates due to power lines in the water. This alert from FWP leaves the Blackfoot, Clark Fork, and Bitterroot Rivers at least partially closed to all activities for safety.
