Jennifer B. Cona is the founder and managing partner of Cona Elder Law, a Melville-based elder law and estate planning law firm that is celebrating 25 years in business.

Cona has garnered many prestigious awards, including recognition by the publications Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers. The New York Law Journal named her to its inaugural class of Top Women in Law. Cona has received many prior accolades from LIBN, including being named among the Power 25 in Law, Top Lawyers of Long Island and Top 50 Women in Business Hall of Fame. She was a member of the inaugural class of Hofstra University’s Outstanding Women in Law. Other honors for Cona include being named to the Long Island Press’ 2023 Power List and Long Island Pulse Magazine’s Top 10 Legal Eagles, among many others.

Interviewed extensively in the media, Cona has been featured in prominent publications like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Newsday and has made numerous TV and radio appearances. She also writes a monthly column for the Long Island Press entitled “The Power of Your Attorney.”

Cona’s charitable endeavors include serving on the board of trustees for the Long Island Alzheimer’s and Dementia Center and as a board member for the United Way of Long Island. She also serves on the executive leadership team of the American Heart Association and the public affairs council of Leading Age New York.

Cona holds several legal certifications, including accredited estate planner (AEP), and is a member of key professional organizations in her field.
