Griffin was born in Peoria but lived in Bloomington and attended Bloomington Junior High School at the time of his death. Officials have recovered the bodies of two men who went missing in Lake Michigan after jumping off a boat. According to conservation officers from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Eduardo Rivera Jr., 45, and Salvador Lopez, 32, both of Elk Grove, Illinois were found approximately one and a half miles from Hammond on Friday.

CPD rolls out new drone surveillance program
CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign Police Department (CPD) is launching their new Drone Program, giving them a brand-new eye in the sky. The Unmanned Aerial Systems Program (UAS), also known as the Drone Program, will allow CPD to use drone technology to monitor Champaign County from a bird’s eye view. These drones will be used for specific purposes including terrorist attack prevention, traffic collisions, missing person searches, and much more in compliance with the Freedom from Drone Surveillance Act.
