Evansville will be getting a second location of a local family-owned restaurant with a popular breakfast menu. Sunrise Cafe Family Restaurant, founded in 2023, is located on North Kentucky Avenue off U.S. 41, south of Mount Pleasant Road. Founded by Kenny Salazar and sisters Adela and Nancy Flores, the restaurant offers classic American diner food with Tex-Mex specialties.

Construction Begins at Former Diamond Galleria On Evansville’s East Side
It's not a jewelry store, not a bakery, and not a car wash. So what is moving into the corner lot at Vogel Road and Burkhardt Road on Evansville's East side?. Last January, LKASAM Investments, LLC filed a rezoning request with the Evansville City Council to build a Take 5 Car Wash on the lot currently occupied by the former Diamond Galleria jewelry store. Those plans were turned down and now the property is getting another makeover.
