Man charged with kidnapping couple over a missing free phone, prosecutor says
Syracuse, N.Y. – A man is accused of kidnapping a couple that was letting him crash on their couch after he became upset over a missing free phone, a prosecutor said. Deshawn Apgar, 34, was scheduled to be arraigned on first and second-degree kidnapping charges Tuesday but failed to come to court. Judge Gordon Cuffy issued a warrant for the man’s immediate arrest.
