Memphis got it to 58-58 with 2:23 remaining in the game, having trailed almost the entire way against the Wichita State Shockers Saturday (2/3) at FedExForum. That's when the Tigers, according to David Jones' Tigers Radio Network interview, put themselves into a comeback position Saturday in American Athletic Conference action.

Jahvon Quinerly drained a 3-pointer to put Memphis up 63-62 with :44 seconds remaining. Then after a game-tying free throw by Wichita State forward Ronnie DeGray III, Jones would end the game with a big-time jumper from the wing off a dish from Quinerly to seal it for Memphis. Final score: Memphis 65 Wichita State 63

Jones' game-winner ended a four game skid for the Memphis Tigers. Memphis played 12 players in the contest led by Jones' 25 points. The comeback three-pointer from Jahvon Quinerly included his only points on the day. JQ went 1-of-13 on the day in 33 minutes.

Wichita State was led by sharp-shooter Colby Rogers with 19 points.

Next Game: Memphis Tigers (16-6/5-4) travels to Philadelphia to take on Temple on Thursday (2/8) at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN2.
