According to multiple reports the Memphis Grizzlies are trading forward/guard David Roddy to the Phoenix Suns in a pick-swap deal that includes the Brooklyn Nets. In the deal it appears the big winner is the playoff bound Phoenix Suns picking up power forward Royce O'Neale from the Nets.

Reportedly the Grizzlies will receive forward Chimezie Metu and former Grizzlies guard Yuta Watanabe.

Watanabe's contract includes a player option for 2024-25. Metu, a solid rotation level forward, is an expiring contract for 2024-25.

The Grizzlies are expected to waive the injured Victor Oladipo and his expiring contract.
