Memphis Football Announces 2024 Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis football team announced the program’s 2024 schedule on Thursday. The Tigers will host seven games at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium and have five road contests on the year.

The slate includes contests against six teams who reached bowl games in 2023 as well as three against squads that posted 11 or more wins on the year, including Sun Belt champion Troy and ACC champion Florida State.

In non-conference play, Memphis will open the season on Saturday, Aug. 31 against North Alabama at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. The non-conference slate also includes home games against Troy (Sept. 7) and Middle Tennessee (Sept. 28), along with a road contest at Florida State on Sept. 14.

In AAC action, the Tigers will host North Texas (Saturday, Oct. 19), Charlotte (Saturday, Oct. 26), Rice (Friday, Nov. 8) and UAB (Saturday, Nov. 16).

On the road in conference play, Memphis will face Navy (Saturday, Sept. 21), South Florida (Friday, Oct. 11), UTSA (Saturday, Nov. 2) and Tulane (Thursday, Nov. 28).

Kickoff times and television designations for the first three weeks of the season, as well as the season-long weeknight games, will be finalized by June 1. The rest of the schedule will fall under the customary 12-day and six-day selection processes.

The Tigers are coming off posting just the fourth season with 10 or more wins in program history in 2023. In 2024, Memphis returns All-AAC honorees in quarterback Seth Henigan , wide receiver Roc Taylor and offensive lineman Xavier Hill to go along with a highly-rated recruiting class.

Coming off a 10-win season and a victory over Iowa State in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, the Memphis’ annual spring game will be played on Saturday, April 20 at 3 p.m. at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
