Elliot Perry shares closeness with Penny and the Tigers (FULL INTERVIEW/929 J&J Show)

This weekend will be hard for Memphis Tigers legend Elliot Perry. The beloved Memphian lost his mother recently. For that reason, the Memphis Grizzlies will send front office executive Tayshaun Prince in his place as a 2024 NBA Draft Lottery representative. You see Perry has been the man behind the "ping pong balls" for the Memphis Grizzlies of late. Perry was on-hand when the Grizzlies were awarded the #2 lottery pick in 2019 that led to Ja Morant.

Jason Smith invited Perry on Friday's (5/10/24) Jason & John Show on 92.9 FM ESPN to discuss the Grizzlies and the Tigers. That led to an in-depth conversation about the level of Perry's relationship with Tigers coach Penny Hardaway.
