Memphis and the Mid-South are gearing up for the Fourth of July and, as always, the holiday will be filled with fireworks spectacles, parades and various types of family fun.

Whether you're a hot dog and lemonade traditionalist or looking for a Memphis twist to the holiday, there's something for everyone to get into the red, white and blue spirit this year.

Here is a roundup of some of the Independence Day celebrations happening throughout Memphis, North Mississippi and Eastern Arkansas.

Arlington: Star-Spangled Spectacular

Arlington hosts its 11th annual Star-Spangled Spectacular, which will include food vendors, live music and a fireworks show at the end of the evening. Bring your picnic blanket and chairs. The band Big Wheel will play and food vendors will begin selling at 6 p.m. Vendors will be located in the sports field end zones. Proceeds from sales will go to support various Arlington sports groups. The fireworks are scheduled at 9:15 p.m.

Bartlett: Fireworks Extravaganza

The "Extravaganza" will include musical entertainment featuring the Bartlett Community Concert Band followed by Kevin & Bethany Paige, a Classic Car "Show & Shine" and concessions/food trucks. When the sun goes down, the night sky will light up with a spectacular fireworks show. All activities will take place on the lawn of the Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center and Appling Middle School.

Central Gardens Association July 4th Parade

The fun is back on York Avenue for the annual Central Gardens Association July 4th Parade. Festivities begin at 9 a.m. In addition to the traditional march of patriotically attired children, pets and vehicles, there will be a number of family-friendly activities including make-and-take crafts and décor, corn hole and lawn games, plus a visit from the The Start Here van from Memphis Public Libraries — where you can update or sign up for your library card and grab a free book. There will be refreshments, homemade goodies and grilled hot dogs. MemPops will be back with a limited number of free pops with an option to purchase. This year's parade, which will be led by Memphis Second Line Jazz Band, will start on York just outside the rear parking lot of Immaculate Conception Cathedral and will march eastward to the 1800 block of York, and then circle the median to return toward the church parking lot.

Collierville: Independence Day Celebration

Collierville’s Independence Day festivities will feature music from Alexis Jade & the Gemstones, followed by the Soul Shockers performing a mix of classic '60s Motown, '70s funk and today's top dance hits. The highlight of the event will be Collierville’s 18-minute fireworks show, one of the largest in the Mid-South, set to a live music performance.

Cooper-Young: 4th of July Parade

This Midtown Memphis neighborhood tradition, organized by the Cooper-Young Community Association, is family-friendly event, with face painting, frozen-treat trucks and other kid-oriented activities.

Cordova: Independence Day Celebration and Parade

The annual Independence Day Celebration and Parade in Cordova will begin with a patriotic program including flag raising, Pledge of Allegiance, national anthem and the introduction of an honored veteran. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to participate in the parade beginning at 10 a.m. Prizes for the best patriotic attire and decorations will be awarded. Free refreshments will be served following the parade.

Germantown: Fireworks Extravaganza

Germantown will celebrate our nation’s birthday with live entertainment, crafts, refreshments and a spectacular fireworks display. A performance from Truck Patch Revival, crafts and concessions will begin at 5 p.m. The Memphis Wind Symphony will perform at 7:30 p.m., and the grand finale fireworks show will start at 9:10 pm.

Graceland: All-American Weekend

Graceland Mansion will be lit up red, white and blue and will feature festivities including concerts, special "hidden" tours of Graceland, a gospel brunch and a party with Elvis-themed fireworks. Highlights of the weekend include a welcome dinner and dance party on July 4 at The Guest House at Graceland. There will also be a screening of "G.I. Blues" on July 4. Then comes a Salute to Memphis Music Concert on July 5, followed by the All-American Party & Fireworks Extravaganza celebrating 70 years of "That's All Right." An All-American Gospel Brunch with the Tennessee Mass Choir on July 6 will be followed by Cote Deonath, who takes the stage that evening for an All-American tribute concert to Elvis.

Hernando: Front Porch Fireworks & Festival

High Point Terrace Neighborhood Parade

The 75th annual High Point Terrace Neighborhood Parade (the longest-running one in the city) is back in 2024. Bring your bikes and follow a fire truck that leads the way and turns on the hoses at the end. Frozen pops are available at the conclusion as well. This year, cars and other motorized vehicles can do a longer route that ends at Cheffie's.

Horn Lake: Grand Fireworks Display & Festival

Live music from The 41st Army Brass Band will precede the pyrotechnics during Horn Lake's Grand Fireworks Display & Festival. Attendees are invited to bring picnic baskets and lawn chairs.

Memphis: Liberty for All at Liberty Park

Presented in conjunction with the Downtown Memphis Commission, the City of Memphis will hold its official Independence Day event at Liberty Park. Dubbed "Liberty for All," this evening of "Fireworks, Food & Fun" promises food trucks; face painting, "inflatables" and other kid-friendly activities; and live music by DJ Zoom and Jonte Mayon & Friends. The fireworks are scheduled to go off about 9 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

Memphis Redbirds: Red, White & Boom

The city's Class AAA baseball team is hosting a festive Independence Day “Red, White & Boom” celebration on July 3 as they end their latest homestand. The first 1,500 fans will receive a Patriotic Redbirds Bucket Hat. Throughout the game, the Old Bluff will be open with inflatables and face painters. And, of course, there will be a postgame fireworks show, the biggest one of the season. Regular tickets will be available, as will a Cookout Specialty Ticket, that gives you access to a buffet of hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, coleslaw, watermelon, chips and cookies.

Millington: Flag City Celebration

Celebrate the spirit of community and the thrill of fireworks at the City of Millington Parks and Recreation Department's annual fireworks display on July 2. Parking will be $5 per vehicle. Enjoy an evening filled with music by Sherry Oke, food and beverage concessions (available for purchase), and a kid zone with inflatables.

Olive Branch: Independence Day Fireworks

Get ready for two nights of fireworks in Olive Branch this Fourth of July weekend. Olive Branch is holding its annual Independence Day fireworks celebration in conjunction with the Light the Way Musical Festival on July 5-6 at Olive Branch City Park. Fireworks are expected to begin between 9 and 9:30 each night.

Overton Square Independence Celebration 2024
