VIDEO: Police release new details after U-Haul rams into business

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police released video and new details after multiple suspects rammed a U-Haul into a hair business in Oakhaven early Tuesday morning.

MPD says there were ten suspects captured on video surveillance backing a U-Haul truck into the front of “Nothing But Hair” in a shopping center on Winchester Road.

According to reports, the suspects were in five separate vehicles.

At the time of the burglary, the owner was asleep inside, police say. The suspects stole $30,000 worth of hair and weave from the business after firing 34 shots at the owner.

However, police say the owner was not injured.

Later that day, a U-Haul truck was found in a neighborhood cul-de-sac near Hickory Hill Road and Raines. Police say the truck crashed into another vehicle in the area.

A town truck driver at the scene said that was the U-Haul involved in the burglary.

No arrests have been made at this time, but this is still an ongoing investigation.
