    MPD searching for suspects involved in attempted robbery, shooting

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are searching for three suspects they say participated in an armed robbery that ended with a man getting shot.

    On July 14 at 2:44 p.m., officers responded to a robbery in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue.

    Officers were told that a male victim was shot during an attempted robbery inside his hotel room.

    The shooter was described as a man wearing a white tank top, blue shoes and long dreadlocks. He was accompanied by a man wearing a yellow traffic vest, blue sweatpants, orange crocs and a blue hat. A third possible suspect was a man wearing a blue shirt, faded blue jeans and white shoes.

    The suspects were armed with a black handgun and an AR-15 style rifle.

    No arrests have been made, but police say this is an ongoing investigation.
