    MPD: Man breaks into Captain D’s, steals over $5k

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are looking for a man they say broke in and stole nearly $6,000 from a Captain D’s on Friday.

    At 7:28 a.m., officers responded to a business burglary at Captain D’s at 4735 Getwell Road.

    MPD: Suspect says he “accidentally” shot man twice at hotel

    At approximately 1:30 a.m., a male suspect entered the business through the drive-through service window using a hammer.

    Police say he left and returned several times before entering with a cutting tool that he used to cut open the safe and allegedly stole $5,700.

    No arrests have been made, but this is still an ongoing investigation.
